Solys Creator & Business Terms
Last Modified: October 16, 2026
Version 2026-10-16
These Creator & Business Terms (the “Creator Terms”) are an agreement between You and Brightloop LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company doing business as Solys (“Company,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”). They apply in addition to the Solys Terms of Use (https://solysapp.com/terms), the Privacy Policy (https://solysapp.com/privacy), and the Community Guidelines (https://solysapp.com/community-guidelines). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Use. If these Creator Terms conflict with the Terms of Use on a subject they cover, these Creator Terms control for that subject.
These Creator Terms apply to You if You (a) apply to or join the Solys Luminary program (a “Luminary”), or (b) operate a verified business account, list a business in The Market, or buy a Market spotlight (a “Business”). By applying, accepting Luminary status, verifying a business account, or buying a spotlight, You agree to these Creator Terms.
Part A: Luminaries
1. Eligibility. To apply, You must be at least eighteen (18) years old, have a Solys account in good standing, and meet the program criteria shown in the App at the time You apply, which may include activity thresholds. Teen Users cannot be Luminaries.
2. Application and approval. The Solys team reviews every application by hand. We approve people whose work makes life better: people who teach, help, build community, or make people laugh without making anyone the punchline. We do not approve creators whose brand is built on demeaning others, shaming people’s looks or bodies, promoting extreme or harmful appearance practices, or profiting from rage at someone’s expense. Audience size does not change the answer. Approval, denial, and removal are at Our discretion. You may reapply after a denial when Your work changes.
3. Badge and status. Approved Luminaries receive a Luminary badge. Luminary status is personal to You and cannot be transferred, sold, or shared. We may re-review Luminaries at any time, including after a Community Guidelines violation, and may remove Luminary status, the badge, and access to earnings features.
4. Same rules as everyone. Luminaries follow the Terms of Use and Community Guidelines like every user. A large audience earns no exception. Luminaries must never use their status to contact, solicit, or move a minor into private contact, and must follow all teen-safety rules in the Teen Safety & Parent Link Policy. If Your content regularly features a minor, You must follow the child content creator laws that apply to You, including any duty to set aside part of Your earnings for that minor.
5. Spark revenue share. When users send Spark to a Luminary, We will pay that Luminary seventy percent (70%) of Our Net Spark Revenue from that Spark. “Net Spark Revenue” means the amount We actually receive for the Spark after app store and payment processor fees, taxes We collect or remit, refunds, chargebacks, and reversals. Spark itself never becomes a balance, cash value, or property of the sender or the Luminary; Your share is a payment from the Company. The Company pays Your share from its own funds as compensation for Your participation in the Luminary program, and the Company does not hold, receive, or transmit money on behalf of any user.
6. Brand deals through Solys. If We arrange a paid brand partnership for You through Solys, We will pay You eighty percent (80%) of Our Net Brand Deal Revenue from that partnership. “Net Brand Deal Revenue” means the amount We actually receive from the brand after payment processor fees, taxes, refunds, and chargebacks. For each partnership, the Company sells the partnership to the brand in its own name and engages You to create the content, and the Company’s payment to You is its own obligation. The terms of each partnership (deliverables, dates, usage rights) will be confirmed in writing before You start. Deals You arrange yourself outside Solys are not subject to this share, but any sponsored content You post on Solys must follow Section 8.
7. Payouts. We pay earned amounts monthly, within thirty (30) days after the end of the month in which We receive the funds, once Your unpaid balance reaches twenty-five U.S. dollars (US$25); smaller amounts roll over. Payouts are made through Our payment processor (currently Stripe) to an account in Your name, and You must complete the processor’s identity verification and provide accurate tax information (for example, IRS Form W-9 or W-8BEN). We may hold or adjust payouts to account for refunds, chargebacks, suspected fraud, or violations of these Creator Terms, for no longer than ninety (90) days for any investigation, and We will tell You why a payout is held, and may recover overpayments from future payouts. You are responsible for Your own taxes. We will issue the tax forms the law requires (for example, Form 1099-NEC or Form 1042-S). If You do not give Us valid tax information, We may hold Your payouts or apply backup withholding as the law requires. Payouts are available only in countries Our payment processor supports.
8. Disclosure of sponsored content. Any post You are paid or given something of value to make must be clearly labeled as an ad or paid partnership (for example, “#ad” or “Paid partnership with [Brand]”) at the start of the post, as required by the FTC’s Endorsement Guides and similar laws. The disclosure must be easy to notice without tapping “more,” in the same language as the post, and spoken in any video or audio. Do not buy, sell, or fake reviews, likes, followers, or other engagement. Sponsored posts must not be directed to users under eighteen (18). We may review sponsored posts and remove any that lack a proper disclosure. Do not make claims about a product that You do not believe or cannot support, especially health, wellness, or financial claims. No paid political content is allowed on Solys.
9. Independent creator. You are an independent creator, not an employee, partner, or agent of the Company. Nothing in these Creator Terms creates an employment relationship or entitles You to benefits. You are responsible for Your own expenses unless We agree in writing to reimburse them.
10. Featuring Your content. You keep ownership of Your content. You allow Us to show Your name, badge, profile photo, and public posts within the Service, and, with Your permission each time, to feature them in Solys marketing. You may withdraw permission for future marketing at any time.
Part B: Businesses and The Market
11. Verified business accounts. Business accounts must belong to a real, operating business that You are authorized to represent. We may ask for documents to verify the business and may refuse or remove verification at Our discretion. Business account information, including any business address You give Us for local listings, may be shown publicly in the Service.
12. Impact statement. Businesses may add an optional statement about what they do for the planet, society, or their community. If You add one, it must be truthful, specific, and supportable. Do not make environmental or social claims You cannot back up. Environmental claims must follow the FTC’s Green Guides.
13. The Market. The Market features businesses hand-picked by the Solys team. Being listed is at Our discretion, and We may change, pause, or remove a listing at any time, including if a business no longer meets Our standards. We may use affiliate links for listed businesses; any commission is governed by the business’s or affiliate network’s own program terms.
14. Paid spotlights. Weekly spotlights are paid placements. The price, spotlight category, and week will be confirmed in an order or invoice before payment (currently billed through Stripe). Spotlights are always labeled as sponsored, are never shown to users under eighteen (18), and are never targeted using personal data. If We cannot run a paid spotlight for reasons within Our control, We will run it in a later week or refund that spotlight. Spotlight fees are otherwise non-refundable.
15. Product rules. Businesses are responsible for their products, services, prices, claims, shipping, returns, and customer service, and for complying with all laws that apply to them. We do not list alcohol, tobacco, vaping, cannabis, gambling, weapons, adult content, weight-loss drugs or supplements, prescription drugs, products that claim to treat or prevent a disease without competent and reliable scientific evidence, or any product We judge unsafe or misleading.
16. Responsibility. Each Business and each Luminary will defend and indemnify the Company against third-party claims arising from that Business’s or Luminary’s products, services, claims, sponsored content, or other content, to the extent permitted by law.
Part C: General
17. Changes. We may update these Creator Terms. We will give at least thirty (30) days’ notice in the App or by email before any change that reduces a revenue share or changes payout terms, and that change will apply only to amounts earned after it takes effect.
18. Ending participation. You may leave the Luminary program or close a business account at any time. We may end Your participation for a violation of these Creator Terms, the Terms of Use, or the Community Guidelines, or if We discontinue the program. Amounts You earned before ending, less any adjustments under Section 7, will be paid on the normal schedule except amounts tied to fraud or to the violation that caused the ending, which We may withhold.
19. Confidentiality. Do not share non-public information We give You about the program, partners, pricing, or other users. This duty lasts for two (2) years after Your participation ends and does not cover information that is public through no fault of Yours or that the law requires You to disclose.
20. Disputes and contact. The governing law, venue, and arbitration provisions of the Terms of Use apply to these Creator Terms. Questions: creators@solysapp.com or Brightloop LLC, 5831 Forward Ave #1247, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.
