Solys Child Safety Standards
Zero tolerance. No exceptions.
Last updated: October 21, 2026
Solys is a private-first social app. Solys is for people 13 and older. Teen accounts (13–17) are opening state by state as we confirm each state’s rules. Keeping young people safe is a core part of how we build it. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind.
What's never allowed on Solys
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, whether real, drawn or AI-generated
- Sexualizing anyone under 18, including comments, emojis or “jokes”
- Grooming: an adult building trust with a minor for sexual purposes, or asking a minor to keep secrets, move to another app or meet in person
- Sextortion: threatening to share images unless someone sends more images, money or favors
- Trafficking, or offering or seeking sexual contact with minors
- Sharing someone's intimate images without their consent
If someone breaks these rules, we remove the account permanently, keep the evidence, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement, as federal law requires.
How we protect teens
- No one under 13 can join. We check age at sign-up using the age range Apple and Google share with us, plus the birthday the person enters. If the two disagree, we go with the younger age.
- Teen accounts (ages 13 to 17) are private by default.
- Adults can't connect with a teen unless they share a Circle and the teen accepts, and only connected people can send private messages.
- Teens don't appear to strangers in people search.
- Parents can link to their teen's account in Family to see safety settings.
- Our team reviews photos and videos that are reported or flagged.
How to report
- In the app: tap the ⋯ menu on any post, reply, profile, circle or message, then choose Report, then Child safety concern. Child-safety reports go straight to our senior safety team.
- By email: safety@solysapp.com
- Intimate images: solysapp.com/report-content (no account needed)
- Directly to NCMEC: report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678
What happens after a report
Child-safety reports are our top priority. We remove violating content, preserve evidence for at least one year as the law requires, report apparent CSAM to NCMEC's CyberTipline, and cooperate with law enforcement.
Compliance
Brightloop LLC complies with applicable child-safety laws, including 18 U.S.C. § 2258A (reporting to NCMEC) and the REPORT Act. We have submitted our registration with NCMEC as an electronic service provider.
