How Solys handles crisis and self-harm

Last updated: October 24, 2026

  1. Always available: the Need support? screen in Settings lists 988, Crisis Text Line and 911. Opening it records nothing.
  2. Optional crisis support (off by default): if you turn it on, an automated tool checks your own posts for signs of crisis and privately shows you resources. It never alerts anyone and never removes your post. It's not a medical or emergency service, and it can be wrong.
  3. Content: we allow people to share struggles and recovery. We remove instructions, methods, graphic self-injury, and encouragement of self-harm or disordered eating (Community Guidelines §7).
  4. When a person on our team sees an immediate threat to life in reported or flagged content, we may contact emergency services, and we follow our law-enforcement emergency policy.
  5. We never use this information for ads, never sell it, and never let anyone train AI on it.
  6. Questions: safety@solysapp.com.
